Petra International Ministries Mark 11:24

Prayer

“I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.” 1 Timothy 2:8

We know that the uncertainties of life can sometimes be overwhelming, leaving us feeling powerless, vulnerable, hopeless and without refuge. God wants to bless you with the desires of your heart.

Bishop Clay and Petra’s Prayer Warriors want to pray for you.

Submit your prayer request using the form below. We will lift them up to the Lord who is our provider, our refuge, our healer, our protector and our Father.

Jesus The Savior

Sometimes referred to as the “Blue Planet”, earth is estimated to have been formed around 4.5 billion years ago. After forming earth through His spoken word, God created mankind in His image, man and woman, and gave them dominion over the earth. (Genesis 1:1-25, Genesis 1:26-30)

Living the dream in a neighborhood called the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve had it all. They had power, wealth, unlimited resources and freedom from want. Most of all, they were without sin and in perfect relationship with God. That is until they messed up a very good thing by disobeying God. (Genesis 3:11-13)  Because of this act of disobedience, our ancestors managed to get themselves kicked out of the Garden of Eden, brought sin into the world and ruined a perfect relationship with God for themselves and their generations forever. (Genesis  3:14-24)

So does that mean there is no hope for us?

Over 2,000 years ago, God, out of His love for us, became human and came to earth as Jesus Christ, responding to humanity’s need for salvation. Jesus lived among us and sacrificed His life as payment for our sin so we could have salvation through Him. (John 3:16)  You can’t earn or buy salvation. It is freely given by God to those who believe in Christ. All you have to do is receive it by faith just the way you are.

It’s as simple as confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing God raised Him from the dead. (Romans 10:9)

Your Burial And Rebirth

After you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you should follow up with water baptism. This is an important next step. The water used during baptism does not have any divine properties, it simply symbolizes a grave into which your old self is buried and out of which a new you is resurrected in Christ or born again.  (John 3:5)

If you would like to participate in our baptism service, call us at (412) 243-7225 or join us for any Sunday Worship and let one of our Elders know you have accepted Christ and want to be baptized.

A New You In Christ

Your decision to be saved has made you a new creation in Christ. In other words, you are a new person with a new life. (Romans 6:4)

Your past is your past and you should never allow others to condemn you because of your past. There is no condemnation in Christ. Don’t look back! Look forward and follow Christ. Always remember that God is faithful and forgives us of our sins when we confess our wrongdoing. (1 John 1:9)  You will never be perfect, only forgiven. Let us help you grow your faith and deepen your relationship with God. Get connected with our ministry and you will be surrounded by other Christians who will help you find God’s purpose for your new life in Christ.
